Jonathan Davies MP
Jonathan Davies MP's roundtable about special educational needs and disabilities system.

On Monday, the Labour government completed its consultation on its proposed reforms to the special needs and education (SEND) system. They are now in the process of reviewing this feedback.

I know many parents are worried about any proposed changes, because they depend on the government getting these changes right. This consultation gave families, teachers, and professionals the opportunity to voice their concerns and what they wanted to see happen.

I hosted a roundtable in Little Eaton a month ago on this issue, to hear what people thought about the proposed reforms. I said I would write and submit a report as part of this consultation on everything that I heard.

Please read the report that I sent to Bridget Phillipson, Education Secretary, as part of the consultation on the button above. This includes 10 key recommendations from Mid Derbyshire residents, which you can find on page 11.
