Last week, the government released its Warm Homes Plan – a £15 billion intervention that will cut energy bills and tackle the cost of living crisis.
This will mean that people can receive £7,500 in support when installing their own heat pumps, get low and no cost loans to install heat pumps and solar panels, and that all new homes will be fitted with heat pumps and solar panels.
Together, this package will triple the number of homes with solar, creating a rooftop revolution, and lift one million people out of fuel poverty.
