This year, I ran a Christmas card competition with some primary schools in Mid Derbyshire. I asked students to design a card for me, with festive warmth as the theme.
I would like to thank everyone who participated – I had so many amazing contributions and it was tough to pick a winner.
My winner was Ava Anscomb from Herbert Strutt Primary School, who drew a brilliant snow globe with a gingerbread family. It was lovely to meet her and her parents, and thank her for participating.
My runner up was Isabella from Milford Primary School. I visited today to tell her that I really liked her card.
Both Ava and Isabella feature on the card, which has been sent to MPs, including the Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and to local organisations, community leaders and residents.
I look forward to running another Christmas card competition next year!
