Jonathan Davies MP at Oakwood Dementia Friendly coffee morning
Visiting the Dementia Cafe in Oakwood was a real insight.
Meeting the volunteer group, who are a real lifeline for people living with dementia, was equally valuable.
They often act as unpaid carers, and the stories I heard will shape my actions as I continue to work hard to support them.
One of the ways they help is by singing old songs – which is a powerful tool to unlock memories.

I would like to pass on a huge congratulations to all the volunteers who make the dementia café a regular event.
