I joined my fellow MPs Baggy Shanker and Catherine Atkinson to speak with Bridget Phillipson, Secretary of State for Education, about a range of issues – including the upcoming National Centre for Music and Arts Education.

This vital initiative will restore access to high-quality arts, creative, and sporting education – reviving opportunities that have been lost in many schools over the years.

That is why the government is reviewing our curriculum and developing frameworks to ensure our young people leave education equipped for future opportunities.

A broad curriculum that fosters creative and critical thinking, strengthens core knowledge, and builds digital and media skills is essential for young people to succeed in a world of rapid social, environmental, and technological changes.
