I know that many residents are concerned about the Punch Bowl pub. It has been closed for far too long and is in a sorry state in the heart of the village.
Last year, I met with campaigners Chris Collins and Carol Holden about this issue.
Since then, I have continued to liaise with Star Pubs and urged the company to market a proposal that was more attractive to prospective tenants.
In December, I got confirmation that they would put out a posting with lower rent and ingoing costs so that a new landlord would be able to keep it up and running.
I am pleased that Star Pubs has now readvertised the Punch Bowl with lower costs, and I hope to see the pub open again for residents to enjoy.
